Q: Where can I find Quarantine 2019's rules ?

A: Each section of the website (game, forum, chat, wiki) has it's own set of rules. For each section, you can click “Rules” in the menu bar to read the rules for that section.

Q: How did the game come to be?

A: Q2019 started as a personal project by the admin Alex007. He created it as a spiritual successor to Urban Dead. After playing UD for a while, Alex decided to try his own version of the game genre by taking UD's core elements and expanding upon them to create a different experience.

Q: This game is terribly unbalanced. Why is it favoured to one side?

A: The game is still in beta, and as such not all game mechanics are appropriately balanced at this time, whether due to excessive player intervention or otherwise. Expect the game to slowly evolve and balance as time progresses.

Q: Why does the game update so slowly at times?

A: While the game community involves itself with the brainstorming of new ideas, and many ideas await testing in the game, Q2019 only has one coder in which to code these ideas. Due to Q2019 being Alex007's personally hobby project, he is not always able to spend as much time on it as he would probably like.

Q: Why does energy replenish so fast/slow? Make it faster/slower!

A: Long ago EP regen was set specifically to 7min 12 sec, and since the game has been balanced around that. The EP regen is one thing about the game that will not be changing, as any change to regen timer would have drastic effects on gameplay.

Q: The rules say that one is allowed two characters, provided that they don't cooperate and that they keep a certain distance. When I try to create a character however, the interface tells me that this is not possible while a game is running. The problem is that the game is always running, and thus when do I get the opportunity to create a second character?

A: To play a second character (aka: alt) alongside your main, you actually have to create an additional account to do so. One day we'll have it so that you can do that under a single account, but you're stuck going the long way around for now.
